Aron Zinstein’s exhibition has opened in Yekaterinburg under “Russia in Erarta” project.
Museum of contemporary art Erarta (Saint-Petersburg) presents “Charmed traveler” exhibition by Aron Zinstein in Yekaterinburg gallery of modern art. The exhibition will be open from 8th April to 14th May.
Freedom of improvisation and selfless attitude to art appears as a key category of Zinstein's figurative world. In terms of typology, Zinstein's art belongs to the broad expressionist trend determinative for the 20th century's art. As a notion, expressionism is not merely a label of a given art movement. Rather, it defines the type of artist's consciousness and plastic temperament. Features of the expressionist temperament are evident in Zinstein's works. He privileges expression over figurative image and actively deforms reality. He has uncontainable imagination. His paintings are «loud», elemental, vivacious, and spontaneous. His brushstroke is dashing and vibratory, his color is always reinforced and emotionally charged; his intonation is utterly sincere and open.
Vladimir Nazansky, the curator of the exhibition, says that Aron Zinstein has been developing romantic expressionism style, where plastic deformations are considered as poetical metaphors with focus on color expression and dynamics.
This is the third joint project of Yekaterinburg gallery of modern art with Erarta Museum. In 2015 Yekaterinburg gallery of modern art at the first time participated in “Russia in Erarta” together with Yekaterinburg museum of fine arts, where the gallery presented the unique collection of artworks by modern Ural artists.
